Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies

Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies

Ingredients:

125g butter (left out at room temperature)

125g sugar

150g dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces

120g porridge oats

100g self-raising flour

Method:

Pre heat oven 190C/170C fan; AGA baking oven.

Cream the butter and sugar together, the softer the butter the easier this will be.

Add 100g of the chopped chocolate, the flour and the oats and mix well together.

Using damp hands roll into walnut size balls and place on a lined baking tray, spaced well apart,  and press down gently with a fork.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden.  Leave to cool on the baking tray before lifting.  While the cookies are cooling, melt the 50g remaining chocolate to drizzle over the cookies.  Delicious and will stay fresh for 5-6 days, if well hidden!
